LiveTiles Directory (formerly Hyperfish) has been helping organizations for over 4 years better connect and promote their employees through complete and accurate employee profiles. At the same time delivering rich experiences across Microsoft 365 and enabling key functionality like content targeting and effective people/skill search.
Over the past few months, we have pushed out some key new features to deliver customers more value from their investment in LiveTiles Directory and Microsoft 365. This blog highlights these new capabilities.
Live Directory and Org Chart experiences take pride of place in Microsoft Teams
Our Live Directory and Org Chart solutions were built to seamlessly integrate into your SharePoint intranet (Classic or Modern) and Microsoft Teams.
Our previous releases allowed our customers to surface these solutions via Tabs on any Teams Channel. In our recent release, we have taken these solutions to the next level in Microsoft Teams and allowed you to pin them in the left-hand navigation, making it even easier for your employees to access complete and accurate People/Skills search and Organizational Chart right where they are working in Teams.
Deploying Directory to the left-hand navigation can be done at a tenant level in your Teams tenant making it accessible to all employees. All of the current filters, zoom settings, and configurations of our Live Directory and Org Chart can be applied when experiencing them through as a pinned App in Microsoft Teams.

Extend approvals capability with Power Automate
LiveTiles Directory has always delivered our customers a granular approval capability to ensure the sufficient review and oversight of critical employee profile information before it’s written back to your source of truth (often Active Directory or Azure Active Directory).
In addition to our out-of-the-box approval settings, we now allow customers to integrate Power Automate as part of the approval stages. This provides customers with complete control over the approval workflow and allows them to incorporate the advanced approval capabilities of Power Automate like Multistage approvals and/or Dynamic approvals (e.g., cost-center based approvals).
Microsoft Flow Approval working with LiveTiles Directory
Making use of the extended approval capability of Power Automate together with LiveTiles Directory will deliver customers new approval alerts that are delivered via an email in Outlook and via the activity feed in Microsoft Teams.
This allows for approvers of profile updates to approve or reject these changes right from where they are working in Outlook and/or Teams (i.e., no need to log into Directory Administration portal).

Presence indicators on Live Directory
The presence indicators surface a users’ Microsoft Teams presence through the Microsoft Graph.
Additionally, clicking on the presence indication from the profile card in the search results will launch the Microsoft Teams App and allow employees to quickly chat or call that colleague.
