Welcome to LiveTiles June Release update for 2024.

Between developing our Everywhere Widget to save your employees time searching for information, and continuously improving customization to make your intranet experience truly personalized, every improvement we make to LiveTiles has one aim in mind: helping you to drive more value at your organization.

It’s the same principle that defines our approach to AI, and when developing our transformative AI Engine, we are doing it differently.

We explained how in this blog, but if you want the short answer, we are putting value before gimmicks.

What’s new at LiveTiles?

The New Everywhere Widget

First introduced earlier this year , the Everywhere Widget will give you instant access to customizable, game-changing tools in your intranet.

Through these, you can provide your employees access to everything they need to do better work.

What new features will the Everywhere Widget offer?

1.  The next iteration of our AI Assistant

The AI Assistant, powered by our transformative AI Engine, works like this:

Your employee has a question about a document, resource or policy they need to find.

Instead of searching through your knowledge base, encountering an outdated policy, or struggling to contact the admin, they ask a plain-language question and receive an instant answer from your AI assistant.

It’s easy to use, easy to manage, and extraordinarily time-saving.

2. New “Me” tab: find your essential tools quicker

The “Me” tab within the Everywhere Widget lets you access your most important policies, documents, quick links instantly.

Employees can customize their links to make their most-used tools quicker to find, and admins can specify which links appear based on what’s most useful to them in their role – such as L&D programs or HR tools. For an individual, it makes finding (or providing) information quicker. At an organizational level, it transforms into an unprecedented efficiency boost.

The “Me” tab will be available in October 2024.

3. Notifications

Notifications in your Everywhere Widget keep you up to date with all the news and happenings in your workplace.

It’s not just a tool that lets your employees filter, engage and interact with the updates that matter most to them.

Powered by the Notification Engine, it’s how LiveTiles delivers targeted notifications that maximize relevance, minimize wasted time and supercharge engagement.

4. Custom Tabs

Lastly, with our custom tab, admins can embed custom content directly into the Everywhere Widget.

So, whether you want to link employees to your website, events or even morale-boosting activities like giveaways, it will be amazing what you can put just a click away from your users.

Redefining AI in the workplace: The AI Engine

Behind our AI assistant – and a growing feature of our entire LiveTiles ecosystem – is our AI Engine.

With data control and extensibility for admins at its heart, our AI Engine is designed to help admins develop custom solutions that will continue to link users with answers in complex, ever-changing organizations.

What’s new?

Using the AI Engine to index SharePoint-based policy pages

AI at work isn’t just about providing a chatbot that sends you a holiday policy on request. It’s about creating a backend that grows and evolves with the needs of your organization.

That’s why, in our upcoming release, admins will be able to ground their AI Assistant with O365 text-based files and index policy pages.

Manageable directly from the Operations Centre, it makes organizing information seamless for admins, and finding information far quicker for users.

The new AI Engine is rolling out in June within the Everywhere Widget.

The Unified UI Design Framework

LiveTiles’ Operations Center is getting a major UI lift to help admins make personalizing their organization’s SharePoint Intranet easier.

Customizing themes for different sub-brands in your organization. Removing the need for CSS. Increasing versatility by customizing individual web parts.

It’s just another way that LiveTiles helps you do more with your existing SharePoint investment.

The Unified UI Design Framework will roll out progressively for selected web parts, with additional feature releases soon.

Improvements to Quick Links

Quick Links simplify workplaces – it’s why employees and admins alike love them.

In June, we are bringing major updates to Quick Link customization and performance that will make these links even more handy.

    • The Quick Links module will now allow admins to make multiple groups of links.
    • Users will be able to more easily add and manage private links.
    • Keycloak dependency has been removed.

    Updates to Quick Links will be effective imminently.

    Updates to LiveTiles Reach

    Employee communications are most helpful when they are authentic. That’s one of the ways in which our transformed employee communications app – LiveTiles Reach – is redefining how employees create and engage with content.

    What is upcoming?

    Comments in publications will allow users to react to content, giving you valuable information and insight into employee sentiment.

    Additional widgets for content creation will make content creation quicker for mobile-first users.

    The publication details view and publication modal full view will create a detailed view for content and deliver an improved content editor: making content creation and consumption far easier.

    Additional improvements to your LiveTiles experience

      • Profile API: our new profile API will create a richer directory experience by allowing admins to embed custom solutions, web parts and user properties using User Profile data.
      • Improvements to Directory: German translation, integration with SharePoint and integration with the Profile API
      • Enhanced Analytics: Refinements to data sources (now accessible in the new Analytics dashboard) will use an Azure-enabled, ETL pipeline to increase the accuracy, precision and security of analytics.
      • Performance Improvements in Intranet menu and branding modules
