Overcoming Communication Barriers
Honegger AG is a full-service provider of building-related services. It operates in the areas of facility management, cleanroom, healthcare, and food. The company has 23 locations across Switzerland and a diverse workforce consisting of over 100 nationalities. There are roughly 500 desktop workers in administration, while 6,000 frontline workers are out on the road every day.
With such a distributed workforce, communication posed a significant challenge for Honegger AG. The company’s existing intranet platform was outdated, not user-friendly, and couldn’t facilitate efficient interaction among employees. In addition, the platform failed to provide easy access to important documents like QM papers and process maps. To address these issues, Honegger teamed up with Nexplore, a close certified partner of LiveTiles. Together, they decided to replace the old system with a new one that could allow communication between all employees, including frontline workers, in their respective native languages. In the process, Honegger hoped to cultivate a stronger sense of community across the whole workforce.
