SV had a vision for a visually appealing, engaging intranet filled with dynamic. It was important that the solution could be easily operated by non-IT content managers and help to sell the value of the underlying SharePoint platform. Most importantly, the intranet needed to be a place where all employees could easily contribute and collaborate.
SV’s existing intranet had reached a point where it could no longer effectively serve their business. Its look and feel was static, link-driven and the sole responsibility of one staff member. Enterprise social collaboration via Yammer had previously been deployed, but the majority of employees were yet to embrace the technology.
